Dr Leanne Johnson
I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with post doctoral experience within child services both within the NHS and in independent settings. Previous to being a Clinical Psychologist, I was a qualified Special Needs Teacher, and continue to enjoy working closely with schools and parents. Since qualification, I have developed a particular expertise in working with children that have suffered trauma and also children who are are fostered or adopted (looked after children). I am trained in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead for a Children's Residential Service, and am responsible for managing a clinical team to deliver out clinical model. This comprises of initial psychological assessment, consultation, reflective practice, attachment and trauma informed training and direct psychological intervention for young people when indicated.
I have the following qualifications:
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology - University of Southampton
- Post Graduate Certificate in Education - University of Warwick
- BSc (Hons) Psychology and Health Science - University of Liverpool
